The Dummy Check Displayed at the Prize-Giving Ceremony

On Dec. 12, 2004, our Embassy received a letter from Ms. Belen O Dela Peña, Principal and Executive Officer of the Board, the Sacred Heart International School, Rabaul, Eastern New Britain Province, PNG. On behalf of the School's Board of Management, Staff and students, Principal Peña expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Amb. Li Zhenjun for the 10000 kina donation. She also told Amb. Li that, on Dec. 9, Michael Chan, Deputy Chairman of the school read out Amb. Li's messages to a crowd of about 500 at the school's prize-giving ceremony. The donation was welcomed with profound awe and jubilation. The donation is the first that the school has secured for building a multi-purpose hall.
